what makes innovate software different?

Innovate Software were formed in order to fill a gap in the market between software development and graphic design. Traditionally, software developers have been poor in the area of interface design, often relying on outdated technologies to produce the ‘front end’. This results in applications that have been developed at great expense to the client and have technical merit, but unfortunately lack attention to detail in the look and feel. These applications are rarely embraced by the users and the company ends up having to ‘market’ the application to their employees to get approval!

We feel very strongly that great software is a combination of great technical development and great visual design. It is not acceptable to ignore the most prominent element of the application, the very part that the user will see – the interface, in favour of something easy to develop. It is time consuming to create great interfaces and plenty of care is needed to ensure that the look and feel provides all the right ingredients to keep users informed and involved.

why shouldn’t software for business be as easy to use as it is for the home?

We live in a time of visually pleasing technology, gone are the days of the incomprehensible graphic display. Today we have devices of all sizes that provide clear and concise information and allow us to process that information with comparative ease – we think our software should be no different.

Of course that doesn’t mean style over substance! A great software application needs to work and work well – if you miss that bit, how it looks is largely irrelevant. So for this reason we work hard to ensure we are using the latest business technologies from the best in the software development world. We promote Microsoft and Adobe technologies for their prevalence in this industry as well as their technical merits. We find this combination provides a great blend of design, confidence and scalability and allows us to take on all manner of projects.

This year we are pushing forward with new technologies such as Adobe Flex and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as well as reworking how we design and build solutions to provide reduced development time and improved solutions. If you have a solution that you would like developing or even have part of an idea we would be delighted to have you come and see us and talk through your requirements.
